講座介紹

       A review of selected nuclear data needs is given with emphasis on identified nuclear data issues of relevanceto energy and non-energy applications of nuclear data. Recent evaluation work undertaken within the IAEA INDENcollaboration is reviewed.

主講人介紹

Prof. Roberto Capote, Senior Physicist in the nuclear data and fundamental nuclear and particle physics, Deputy section head of Department of Nuclear Sciences and Applications in International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA). He received Master degree from Moscow State University in 1985 and Doctor degree from the University of La Habana in Cuba in 1995. Before joining IAEA, he worked as a senior researcher, Head Theoretical Nuclear Physics group in Centro de Estudios Aplicados al Desarrollo Nuclear (CEADEN), La Habana, Cuba in 2002 and as the invited researcher in University of Sevilla in 2002-2004. He worked in nuclear data section in IAEA from 2004 to now, and is in charge of nuclear data development to update and produce nuclear data libraries; research and development on nuclear data; nuclear data for medical applications. Many widely used scientific and/or technical Expertise, including RIPL, International Neutron Data Standards and the latest International Nuclear Data Evaluation Network (INDEN), are achieved through his efforts, and he is the Core developer of the famous EMPIRE code for nuclear reaction. More than 500 papers have published in peer-review nuclear data journals, and Oppenheimer coin, is awarded to him by US LANL director in April 2023.
